5 Ways to Solve Bucket Elevator Ash Leakage

(1) Whole Casing flange gasket of bucket elevator damages or no flange gasket, please change new gasket, glue with the sealing glue, retighten the flange bolts.
(2) If material leaks from the head section and bottom base gap, please add a gasket or sealant.
(3) If altitude difference is too large, it will increase material feeding pressure, please change the material feeding method, add a feeding buffer device.
(4) Drive chain occurs idle rotation, please adjust the chain length. 
(5) Casing installation is not straight, please adjust perpendicularity of the casing length.

Bucket Elevator Casing Embossing Process

Embossing is commonly seen in the bend place. Generally speaking, according to the force requirements ofbucket elevator middle casing, steel plate will be folded into geometric shapes (such as rectangle, etc.) or grooved shape in order to ensure and strengthen the intensity and stiffness of casing side. Application for Different Forms of Bucket Elevator Hopper

TH bucket elevator hopper type can be divided into: shallow hopper, deep hopper and triangle hopper.

Shallow hopper mouth and back wall angle is small, which can be loaded with less material, but it is easy to unload. Suitable for the transport of wet, sticky, and other liquid materials such as cement, wet sand, gypsum powder, etc.
Deep hopper and shallow hopper are made by the steel plate welding or direct stamping, cast iron and cast iron can be used as well, in order to reduce the weight of the hopper, it can be made of fiberglass. How to solve bucket elevator plugging problem ?

Bucket elevator plugging may occur during the operation of bucket elevator,according to long time experience and analysis of bucket elevator technical personnel , we can add a vibrating screen to solve the plugging problem due to large blocks enter into the pipeline,rubber belt slip problem can be avoided by increasing the tension force to increase the lifting height of bucket elevator.However, more than 90% of the plugging problem is caused by the bucket scraper system connecting pipe plugging problem due to the unreasonable design. Here PK Machinery will introduce two solutions as follows:
The first method:Increase the angle of the connecting pipe to increase the rough and fine material flow rate in the pipe,reduce the possibility of plugging,but this solution need to raise the height of scraping conveyor.
The second method:Add a vibrator the connecting pipe side add vibrator to achieve the material being conveyed smoothly ,interlock the vibrator and material scraping system to make it vibrate intermittently,the vibration time,frequency and interval period should be set up as per bucket elevator working condition to realize automatic operation.The solution can completely solve the connecting pipe plugging.

what's the difference of ring chain, plate chain, belt type bucket elevator?

1. Ring chain’s structure and manufacture is simpler, the connection with the hopper is very firm, when conveying grinding material, the chain wear and tear is small, but the self weight is big.

2. Plate chain structure is relatively firm, self weight is lighter, which is suitable for a large handle capacity of bucket elevator.

3. Belt structure is simple, but it is not suitable for transporting big grinding material, ordinary rubber can bear material with temperature less than 60 , allowed material temperature of steel wire can be up to 80 , allowed material temperature of heat-resisting rubber belt can be up to 120 , allowed material temperature of the ring chain, plate chain can be reach 250 .


Bucket elevator is the most widely used equipment in the production , correct understanding the bucket elevator effect and knowledge, will attain the result with half effort, the most common used bucket elevator type includes belt type (TD) and ring chain(TH ) .When used for transporting bulk cement, deep type bucket is mostly used. Such as TD type belt bucket elevator adopts centrifugal unloading or mixed discharge, which is suitable for powdery and granular materials bulk density less than 1.5 t/m3.TH ring chain bucket elevator adopts mixed or gravity discharge for conveying powdery and granular materials with bulk density less than 1.5 t/m³.

Bucket elevators design considerations

Bucket elevator is widely used in many industries, the bucket elevator model selection is very important. What notices should we pay attention to during the selection of the model? Please check the following :
1.In general, the types of bucket elevator belt are ordinary or heat- resistant steel cord belt. Ordinary steel cord belt is suitable for material with temperature lower than 80 degree. Heat- resistant steel cord belt is suitable for material with temperature lower than 120 degree.
2.Considering the uneven feeding material and lump size, the allowance of the bucket elevator capacity should be sufficient.
3.The driven device support frame and maintenance platform should be installed on the head casing. Customer should state whether need the maintenance platform according to requirement.
4.There is dust removal flange on the head part of the bucket elevator. You can connect with dust collector if the material with large amount of dust.
5.Please provide the following information for us to select model: material name, size, bulk density, temperature, moisture content, lifting height, feeding equipment name, working indoor or outdoor.
6.If the conveying material is fly ash, the bucket speed should be less than 1.3 m/s. The driven part should be specially designed.

The Application and Arrangement of Mechanized Silo

There are two kinds of Mechanized silo for bulk material: agricultural silo and industrial silo. Agricultural silo is used to store food, feed and other granular or powdered materials. While industrial silo is to store coke, cement, salt, sugar and other bulk materials.
The discharging hopper is always installed at the bottom of the mechanized silo, the upstream is equipped with conveying equipment. When loading materials, the bulk materials will be lifted by thebucket elevator and then discharged into the horizontal belt conveyor, the belt conveyor conveys the bulk material to the silo. When discharging material, the bulk materials will be discharged to the downstream through the dump hopper,then conveyed by the horizontal belt conveyor to other place.

The flat shape of silo includes square, rectangle, polygon and circular, etc. When the storage material is single species or the amount is small, independent silo or a single row layout can be adopted. When storage materials has many species, silos in groups can be arranged. The total length of the cylinder silo group is generally not more than 60 meters, the total length of the square silo group is generally not more than 40 meters. Appropriate measures should be taken when there is large silo group length or wall force and complex ground situation, such as setting a expansion joint in order to eliminate the shrinkage stress of concrete and temperature stress effects, setting a settlement joint to avoid uneven settlement influence due to huge load difference from different parts of the structure itself or the bearing capacity of foundation soil have obvious differences, setting an earthquake cracks in order to reduce earthquake damage.
